Because the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission has been busy for the last couple of weeks planning for and carrying out the first round of Public Outreach Hearings, it has not held a business meeting since July 8.
At 1:30pm on Wednesday, August 3rd, the AIRC will convene in the Pharmacy Board Hearing Room (3rd Floor) of the Executive Tower at the State Capitol, 1700 West Washington St., Phoenix.
Items on the agenda include:
Executive Director Report.
a. Update on status of public records requests
b. Budget Appropriation -Correct Information
c. First Round Public Hearings update and status
d. Commission Mapping Training
e. Strategic Telemetry Contract Update
f. P.I.O. Introduction and Staff Update
g. Summary of recent events pertaining to the Commission and staff
Discussion and possible vote on purchasing online mapping software for citizen input; a presentation and discussion about grip-map options; discussion regarding Attorney General's investigation (may require executive session to confer with counsel); approval of minutes from previous meetings and more.
The Arizona Eagletarian will cover this meeting. Later, at 6pm, the AIRC will reconvene in the Glendale City Council Chambers for a Public Outreach Hearing.
